This diploma work deals with relationships between Czech alternative music culture and American music composer Frank Zappa. The work searches Zappa’s influences in Czech music scene. It introduces Czech alternative music culture as well as Frank Zappa’s problematic to the reader. It includes definitions of terms avant-garde, alternative and underground.
