This thesis aims to describe objectively the history of Tesin Silesia. The author focuses above all on the history of the 20th century, when conflict for this region between Poland and Czechoslovakia culminated. It introduces this problem from the perspectives of both states, respectively their governments on the international level, and from the point of view of regional inhabitants. Cílem této práce je snaha objektivně popsat dějiny Těšínského Slezska. Autorka se zaměřuje především na dějiny XX století, kdy vrcholil konflikt o toto území mezi Polskem a Československem. Představuje tento problém z pohledu obou států, respektive jejich vlád na mezinárodní úrovni a taktéž z pohledu zdejších obyvatel.
