The diploma thesis focuses on the analysis and commented translation of chosen chapters from the official websites of two towns – Nymburk and Neuruppin – which cooperate together as they are twin towns. Diplomová práce je soustředěna na analýzu a komentovaný překlad vybraných kapitol oficiálních webových stránek dvou měst – Nymburka a Neuruppinu – které spolu kooperují jakožto partnerská města. Úvodní část této práce objasňuje, čím se translatologie zabývá a co je jejím předmětem. Obsahuje také krátký přehled o historii překládání.
