Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce je design světla. Výsledkem práce je minimalistická instalace vytvořená z přesných, laserem vypálených plochých objektů ve tvaru lidských očí. Tato instalace funguje jako projekt site specific ve zdevastovaném kostele svatého Mikuláše v Šitboři. Práce pracuje pouze s přirozeným světlem. Pokud slunce dopadne na výpalky připevněné na stěně, vykreslí se na ní obraz oka, pokud slunce nesvítí, obraz nevznikne. Práce se snaží zdůraznit paralelu mezi blednutím obrazu a blednutím vzpomínek. Jejím cílem je i obrazné otevření očí nad stavem památky.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with design of light. As the result of this thesis was created the minimalistic installation of exact, laser burned objects in the shape of human eyes. This installation is placed as a site specific project in destructed St. Nicolas Church in Šitboř village. The installation itself works with natural light when the ray of sunshine touch the burned object on the wall, the light itself will create a picture of human eye. In the case there won't be any sunshine, the picture is not visible. The installation tries to highlight the parallel between picture fading and fading of human memories. To show and open the society eyes over the condition of this monument is the another aim of this installation.
