Abstract:

Teoretická část diplomové práce se z jedné části zaměřuje na historii a význam ilustrace nejen v literatuře pro děti a mládež. První část je směřována k historickému kontextu a vývoji ilustrace obecně. Dále navazuje na historický vývoj ilustrace v české knize pro děti. Druhá polovina teoretické části řeší aktuální situaci literatury pro děti a mládež v České republice. Sleduje aktuální dění současné krásné knihy. Současně s tím, se zaměřuje i na aktuální umělce tvořící na poli literatury pro děti a mládež. Závěrem se diplomová práce věnuje praktické části zaměřené na autorské a interaktivní přepracování sbírky Devatero pohádek od Karla Čapka.

Abstract:

The theoretical part of this thesis focuses on the history and influence of illustration, not only in the realm of children’s and youth literature. The first part discusses the historical context and development of illustration more generally. The second part provides a discussion of the historical development of illustration in Czech children’s and youth literature. It also follows the contemporary development of the “beautiful book”. Simultaneously, the thesis concentrates on contemporary artists currently active in the field of children’s and youth literature. In the last part, this thesis provides a discussion of the practical implementation of the interactive re-interpretation of Karel Capek’s Devatero Pohadek as done by the author of this thesis.
