Vliv agonistů a antagonistů serotoninových receptorů na oxidativní vzplanutí profesionálních fagocytů

Abstract:
Krevní destičky uvolňují po stimulaci řadu biologicky aktivních látek, kterými se aktivně zapojují do zánětlivé odpovědi. Jednou z těchto látek je i serotonin (5-HT), neurotransmiter centrálního nervového systému, který se vyskytuje také v periferních tkáních, kde funguje zejména jako vasokonstriktor. Abstract:
Serotonin (5-HT) has been shown to exert various immunomodulatory effects. In this study, the effects of 5-HT, their agonists and antagonists, on the chemiluminescence (CL) responses of rat peripheral blood leucocytes (PBL) activated by phorbol myristate acetate (PMA), opsonized zymosan (OZP), calcium ionophore (CaI) and N-formyl-methionylleucylphenylalanine (fMLP)were assessed.
