Social topography of the city of Brno in the 14 century

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá problematikou řemeslného rozmístění v Brně ve 14. století. Dále zjišťuje možnosti aplikace postupů sociotopografické metody v Brněnském městském areálu. Práce je první svého druhu pro brněnské prostředí a snaží se v sobě kombinovat výsledky historického i archeologického bádání. Tato práce vychází s brněnských berních rejstříků zpracovaných v edici Knihy počtů města Brna a místopisné mapy pro rok 1348 od Oldřicha Vičara. Pro všechny rejstříkové roky edice byla vypracována rozsáhlá tabulková a grafová příloha k demonstraci dynamiky migrace uvnitř městské společnosti.

Abstract:

This work deals with the deployment of craftsmanship in Brno in the 14th century. It also investigates the possibilities of application procedures social topography methods in an urban area of Brno. The work is the first of its kind for the Brno environment and seeks to combine in themselves the results of historical and archaeological research.This work is based in Brno octroi records processed in the edition Knihy počtů města Brna of Bedřich Mendl and topographical maps for the year 1348 by Oldřich Vičar. For years, all the index series was developed extensive tables and graphs to demonstrate the dynamics of Annex migration within urban society.
