The Barriers in the Municipality of Bolatice from the Perspective of a Wheelchair Bound Person

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá popisem bariér, se kterými se každý den potýkají lidé na invalidním vozíku žijící v obci Bolatice. V teoretické části jsou vysvětleny pojmy handicap, osoba s omezenou schopností pohybu a orientace, rozdělení bariér na fyzické a psychické, popis a dělení invalidních vozíků. Zahrnuje legislativu týkající se stavebních úprav vyhovujících potřebám vozíčkářů a normy při řešení bariér. Praktická část obsahuje popis konkrétních budovy v obci Bolatice, a jejich nedostatků, navržení řešení překonávání bariér a rozhovory s vozíčkáři o bariérách v obci.

Abstract:

This Bachelor´s thesis has its main focus of the description of barriers that wheelchair bound people living in a village of Bolatice deal with on a regular basis. There are the terms like a handicap, a person with restricted mobility and orientation explained in the theoretical part of this thesis as well as categorising of physical and mental barriers and the descriptions and categories of wheelchairs.It comprises the legislation of posslible construction adjustments convenient for wheelchair bound people and the norms for solutions of barriers. The practical part includes the descriptions of individual buildings in the municipality of Bolatice, their disadvantages, suggestions for conquering the barriers and interviews with people on weelchairs.
