Evaluation of reproductive performance and maternal behaviour zwartbles sheep breed in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Předložená diplomová práce si klade za cíl zhodnotit plodnost, reprodukci, reprodukční výkonnost a mateřské chování ovcí plemene Zwartbles. Zjišťovány byly nejčastěji používané způsoby plemenitby a následně ukazatele hodnocení plodnosti využívané pro posouzení reprodukční výkonnosti jako jsou oplodnění, plodnost, intenzita odchov, zváženost, počet narozených jehňat, poměr pohlaví, poměr jedináčků, dvojčat a trojčat. Dále byl sledován porod se zaměřením na jeho průběh, jeho obtížnost a nutnost asistence ze strany chovatele. Posuzováno bylo i mateřské chování ve vybraných parametrech ovcí plemene Zwartbles, a to jak ovcí rozdělených dle věku, tak i u jednotlivých rodin a linií ve sledovaném stádě. Analýzy byly provedeny na stádě ovcí plemene Zwartbles na rodinné farmě v Mohelně.

Abstract:

Submitted thesis aims to assess fertility, reproduction, reproductive performance and maternal behavior of the zwartbles sheep breed. Detected were the most commonly used methods of breeding and, subsequently, fertility indicators used for assessment of reproductive performance such as fertilisation, fertility, the intensity of breeding, the number of newborn lambs, sex ratio, the ratio of singletons, twins and triplets. Childbirth was also monitored with a focus on its course, its level of difficulty and the need for assistance on the part of the breeder. Considered was the maternal behavior in the selected parameters of the zwartbles sheep breed, both sheep divided according to the age, as well as for individual families and blood lines in the herd. Analyses were conducted on the herd of sheep breed zwartbles on the family farm in Mohelno.
