Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce je financování kulturních projektů. Přes historický vývoj až k současné době se autorka snaží o sondu do financování kulturních institucí a nastínit přitom různé pohledy expertů na dotace v kultuře, kteří se v oboru dlouhodobě pohybují. Subvencování kultury je ožehavým tématem, které rozdmýchává společenské konverzace dodnes. Existuje na ně jen jeden správný pohled? Praktická práce se věnuje projektu, který autorka spoluzaložila. Tím je projekt Some like it Czech. Jeho podrobný popis a ukázka chodu malé kulturní organizace čtenářovi umožní nahlédnout pod pokličku fungování projektu, nesoucí si své problémy, zisky, ztráty a své dramaturgické lekce. Do kontrastu přichází v teoretické části další projekt, který má pracovně, lokalizačně, oborově a personálně blízko k projektu Some like it Czech. Tím je projekt Dokumentární pondělí. Je to právě kontrast dvou projektů, které mohou být porovnávány v podobném měříku. Díky tomuto porovnání dospěje autorka k cíli práce, jímž je obhajoba použití veřejných prostředků na organizace z odboru médií a audiovize, který je v gesci Ministerstva kultury České republiky.

Abstract:

The subject of this thesis is the financing of cultural projects. The author tries to probe into the financing of cultural institutions through historical development to the present day, outlining different perspectives of experts in the field of cultural subsidies who have been in the field for a long time. Cultural subsidies are a hot topic that continues to fuel social conversations to this day. Is there only one right way to look at it? This practical work focuses on a project that the author co-founded. This is the project Some like it Czech. Its detailed description and demonstration of the workings of a small cultural organization will give the reader a glimpse into the inner workings of a project that carries its own problems, gains, losses, and its own dramaturgical lessons. The theoretical part of the book contrasts with another project that is close to Some Like It Czech in terms of work, location, field and personnel. This is the Documentary Monday project. It is the contrast of two projects that can be compared on a similar scale. Through this comparison, the author arrives at the aim of the thesis, which is to defend the use of public funds for organizations from the Department of Media and Audiovisual, which is under the responsibility of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
