Neoclassicist tendencies in work of the group Tvrdošíjní

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce si klade za cíl představit neoklasicistní tendence v tvorbě skupiny Tvrdošíjných, která byla činná mezi léty 1918–1924. Skupina se vyznačovala různorodým uměleckým projevem bez jasně definovaného kolektivního programu a do jejich tvorby tak pronikala široká škála různých tendencí a vlivů. Jednou z těchto tendencí byl neoklasicismus, který se projevoval různými způsoby. Práce se bude snažit ukázat, jak se tato tendence projevovala v tvorbě členů skupiny Tvrdošíjných a objasnit možné vlivy či inspirace pro tvorbu děl s neoklasicistním charakterem. Důraz bude také kladen na reflexe v dobovém tisku.

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on neoclassical tendencies in work of the art group Tvrdošíjní, which was active between 1918–1924. The group was characterized by a plurality of their art expressions without clearly defined collective program and a wide range of different influences in their works. One of these tendencies was neoclassicism, which manifested itself in various ways. The thesis focuses on various manifestations of neoclassicism and wants to clarify possible influences or inspirations for the creation of works with neoclassical character. Emphasis will also be placed on reflections in the periodical press.
