Occupational therapy as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation for clients tetraplegia after accident

Abstract:

Téma bakalářské práce pojednává o úrazové míšní lézi a následně vzniklé tetraplegii. Práce se dělí na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část obsahuje blok anatomie zabývající se páteří a míchou. Dále zde je teoretický blok o míšní lézi, popisující rozdělení míšní léze, projevy, diagnostiku a léčbu. V další části se zaměřuji hlavně na samotnou tetraplegii a ucelenou rehabilitaci. Největší pozornost v bakalářské práci věnuji ergoterapii od začátku onemocnění až do poslední fáze nemoci. Ergoterapie zahrnuje výcvik tetraplegické ruky, nácvik soběstačnosti a denních činností, výcvik přesunů a lokomoce a významné odvětví edukačních programů a poradenství. V praktické části popisuji práci s klientem po úrazové tetraplegii, který je v resocializační fázi. Tato část obsahuje anamnézu, vyšetření klienta a určení krátkodobého a dlouhodobého ergoterapeutického plánu. Z ergoterapeutického hlediska jsme se nejvíce věnovali přesunům a nově vzniklé problematice vyprazdňování. Dále to bylo kondiční cvičení, nácvik stability sedu a správného držení těla, kde byla zahrnuta odlehčovací technika, která má preventivní účinek. Konzultovali jsme kompenzační pomůcky, které klientovi umožní menší závislost na druhé osobě a jaké má možnosti v oblasti využití asistenční služby. Klientovi jsem navrhla nové aktivity, které by mohl provozovat a věnovat se jim. Nejen sportovní, ale i kreativní a vyhledali jsme bezbariérové prostory, které může navštívit sám či s rodinou nebo přáteli

Abstract:

Subject of the thesis deals with the spinal lesion accident and any resulting tetraplegia. The work is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part contains a block of anatomy dealing with the spine and spinal cord, followed by theoretical block on spinal cord lesion and description of the distribution of spinal lesions, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment. In the next section, I focus mainly on the very tetraplegia and comprehensive rehabilitation. Most attention is given to occupational therapy from onset until the last phase of the disease. Occupational therapy includes training tetraplegické hand, practicing self-sufficiency and daily activities, training, transfers and locomotion and a significant sector of educational programs and counseling. The practical part is focused on work with a client after an accident tetraplegia, which is in the rehabilitation phase. This section contains history, examination of the client and determines short-and long-term occupation therapy plan. From the point of view ergotherapeutical we spent most shifts and the new issue of discharge.(veta nedava smysl) Furthermore, it was fitness training, stability training and proper sitting posture, which was included in relief technique and had a preventive effect. We consulted mobility aids, which allowed a client less dependence on the other person and what possibilities in the use of assistive services. Client was suggested new suitable activities. including sportand creativity courses that have wheelchair acess so the client can visit them alone, with family or friends.
