The topic of this thesis is definition of the medieval genre „Maeredichtung“ with focus on satirical and comical elements emphasizing bad qualities in women. The thesis, apart from examination of medieval literature, deals paralelly with the social status of women in the Middle Ages. Tématem práce je vymezení středověkého žánru Maeredichtung se zaměřením na satirické a komické prvky zdůrazňující špatné vlastnosti ženy. Práce se rovněž, kromě zkoumání středověké literatury, paralelně zabývá společenským postavením ženy ve středověku.
