Czech consumer and healthy lifestyle: netnography of online community

Abstract:

Práce pomocí netnografie zkoumá průběh změny životního stylu z hlediska přístupu spotřebitele ke svému tělu a k sobě samému. Výzkum probíhá v kontextu online komunity STOB Klub, která sdružuje osoby snažící se dodržovat zdravý životní styl. Analyzuje a interpretuje obsah příspěvků a chování členů v diskuzních skupinách. Výsledkem je analýza, která nabízí blízký pohled na úzkou skupinu spotřebitelů, užitečný jak pro komunikaci se spotřebitelem, tak pro marketingový výzkum.

Abstract:

With the use of netnography this thesis studies the process of transformation of one's lifestyle, approaching consumers' attitude towards their own body and their Selves. It is focused on an online community STOB Klub consisting of people trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The research analyzes and interprets the content of posts within newsgroups. The outcome is a study which can offer an inside look at a small group of consumers, useful for communication with a consumer and marketing research.
