Proposal for the Care of Important Trees in the Vicinity of the Ruins of Pyšolec Castle

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá inventarizací významných stromů v okolí zříceniny hradu Pyšolec, který obec Vír dostala do vlastnictví a začala vyvíjet snahu o zpřístupnění této kulturní památky na území přírodní rezervace. Staré stromy v blízkosti turistické stezky jsou v rámci biodiverzity velmi cenné, ale na druhou stranu mohou ohrozit návštěvníky zříceniny. Významné stromy byly zaměřeny pomocí aplikace Field Maps a data byla následovně zpracována v programu ArcGIS Pro. Byly zjištěny dendrometrické údaje a kvalitativní atributy jednotlivých stromů a byla navržena péče o ně z hlediska provozní bezpečnosti a zachování jejich ekologické funkce.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the inventory of important trees in the vicinity of the ruins of Pyšolec Castle, which the village of Vír took into ownership and began to make efforts to make this cultural monument accessible in the territory of the nature reserve. The old trees near the hiking trail are very valuable in terms of biodiversity, but on the other hand, they can endanger visitors to the ruins. Significant trees were surveyed using the Field maps application and the data was then processed in the ArcGIS Pro program. Dendrometric data and qualitative attributes of individual trees were determined and their care was proposed from the point of view of operational safety and preservation of their ecological function.
