Nursing care plan for patients with pacemakers

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na stanovení ošetřovatelského plánu u pacienta po našití kardiostimulátoru na standardním oddělení. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části, teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části práce se zaměřujeme na anatomii srdce, převodní systém srdeční, vysvětlení kardiostimulátoru a techniku operačního postupu při jeho samotném našití. Popisujeme možné operační přístupy, zmíněna je také monitorace během operačního výkonu a také k jakým komplikacím by mohlo dojít. Cílem bakalářské práce je stanovit plán ošetřovatelské péče u pacienta s našitým kardiostimulátorem na standardním oddělení. Ošetřovatelský plán zahrnuje celou dobu hospitalizace pacienta od jeho přijetí až po dimisi, jejíž nezbytnou součástí je také edukace. Poté se věnujeme potřebám fyziologickým, ale také vyšším potřebám za použití klasifikace ošetřovatelských diagnóz dle NANDA - International. U jednotlivých domén jsou navržené diagnózy a stanoveny intervence a cíle.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis describes the general plan of nursing care for a patient after implantation of pacemaker at standard inpatient department. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part focuses on anatomy of the heart, cardiac conduction system, explanation of pacemaker and technique of surgical procedure during implantation of pacemaker. This part describes possible surgical approaches. There is also mentioned monitoring during the surgery and possible complications. The aim of this bachelor thesis was create a plan of nursing care for a patient with an implanted pacemaker at standard inpatient department. This plan covers the whole period of hospitalization, from admission to the hospital to discharge, which important part is education. The care plan is dedicated to physiological needs as well as psychological needs. This care plan is complemented by nursing diagnoses according to NANDA International, including outcomes and interventions.
