The Ukrainian medical terminology (evolution and actual situation).

Abstract:

Theme of the represented degree research is the Ukrainian medical terminology, its evolution and an actual situation. In the first section of work stages of evolution of the Ukrainian medical terminology in historical aspect are described. In the second section the lexical aspect of the Ukrainian medical terminological system (ways of word-formation of terms, an origin of actually Ukrainian lexicon, sources of loan of terms speaking another language in the Ukrainian terminology, and also the phenomena of synonyms and alternativeness) has been investigated. In the third section the actual situation of medical terminology in Ukraine is described. Further problems and problems which face linguists in the field of medical terminology are designated. In last section of work the structure of the Ukrainian-Czech medical dictionary of surgical terms which is the appendix to the presented work is described. The dictionary contains about two and a half thousand surgical terms and word combinations. The practical task of the represented research is acquaintance of the reader to development history, a lexical stock, a current state and a problematics of the Ukrainian medical terminology.

Abstract:

Tématem této diplomové práce je ukrajinská lékařská terminologie, její vývoj a současný stav. V první kapitole práci jsou popsány etapy vývoje ukrajinské lékařské terminologie v historickém aspektu. V druhé kapitole byl prozkoumaný lexikální aspekt ukrajinského lékařského terminologického systému (způsoby slovotvorby termínů, původ vlastní ukrajinské lexiky, prameny zapůjčení cizojazyčných termínů do ukrajinské terminologie a také jev synonymie a variantnosti). Ve třetí kapitole se popisuje současný stav lékařské terminologie na Ukrajině. Dále se vymezují problémy a úkoly, kterým čelí lingvisti v oblasti lékařské terminologie. V poslední kapitole práce je popsána struktura ukrajinsko-českého lékařského slovníku chirurgických termínů, který je přílohou této práce. Slovník obsahuje kolem dva a půl tisíce chirurgických termínů a slovních spojení. Praktickým úkolem této práce je seznámení čtenáře z historií vývoje, lexikální zásobou, současným stavem a problematikou ukrajinské lékařské terminologie.
