Motivation of the Unemployed towards Education in Prague

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je motivace nezaměstnaných ke vzdělávání v hlavním městě Praha. Je podrobným pohledem na okolnosti, které mohou motivaci ovlivňovat a také na-kolik motivace ovlivňuje situaci nezaměstnaných a jejich případný úspěch při hledání práce. Empirická část formou kvalitativního výzkumu detailně analyzuje individuální příběhy jednotlivců, kde každý dobu nezaměstnanosti využil v rámci svých osobnostních předpokladů, postojů a invencí. Výsledky šetření by mohly pomoci lépe pochopit přístup nezaměstnaných ke vzdělávání a tomu přizpůsobit edukační procesy a možnosti.

Abstract:

The topic of this thesis is the motivation of the unemployed to obtain education in the Capital City of Prague. It presents a detailed view of the circumstances that might affect motivation and also how motivation can influence the perception of an unemployed person and thereby also lead to his/her eventual success in finding a job. The empirical part, in the form of qualitative research, analyses the individual stories of individuals in detail, e.g. how each of them used the period of his/her unemployment in accordance with his/her own individual personal abilities, attitudes and inventiveness. The results of the survey could help to achieve a better understanding of the attitude of the unemployed to education and thereby to adapt educational processes and options accordingly.
