Daniel Vetter's Islandia... and its Specific Features on the Background of Period Czech and Polish Literary Travelogues
Abstract:
Cílem práce je připomenout málo známy cestopis českého bratra Daniela Vettera Islandia a poukázat na jeho specifičnost na pozadí české a polské dobové cestopisné produkce. Cíli práce je podřízen její obsah: práce obsahuje mj. prezentaci vydavatelských peripetií, umístění Islandie v dobovém systému cestopisných žánrů a psychologický náčrt osobnosti Daniela Vettera.
Abstract:
The aim of the work is to remind an almost forgotten travelogue Islandia written by a Czech brother Daniel Vetter. Among others the thesis deals with the mysteries of the first editions, the place of Islandia in the period literary genres of travelogies, and the characteristics of Vetter's personality.
