Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to examine and analyze challenges arisen in the post-acquisition period by including a global virtual team in the acquisition process. Moreover, the research will target the areas of knowledge sharing, culture, language, communication and technology barriers and it will focus on one acquisition Y Soft company did in Australia. The work will consist of the theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part will devote to introduction and discussion of concepts and methods that will be used in the practical part in order to achieve the goal of the thesis. Practical part will analyze the company and the background of this acquisition giving suggestions in the end for overcoming the challenges faced. The work is in a form of case study where multiple sources of evidence were used for a more accurate finding. Data was collected from questionnaires, interviews, academic literature and own observations.
