Supplier Relationships Management in IT

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vybranými aspekty řízení vztahů s dodavateli v IT odvětví. Záměrem této práce je zpracování případové studie ICT projektu a souvisejících postupů ve vybrané organizaci, která do IT investuje přibližně 30 milionů CZK, a upozornit na nedostatky a chyby, které vedly k překročení rozsahu. Cílem je zhodnotit dosavadní přístupy a jakou roli hraje projektové řízení v řízení dodavatelů. Na základě dílčích závěrů a nálezů jsou doporučeny možné postupy, jak tyto nedostatky a rizika eliminovat, popřípadě zmírnit. Cílem je navrhnout taková opatření, která budou v souladu s nejlepší praxí v projektovém řízení a široce aplikovatelná, nehledě na velikost či rozsah projektu. V práci jsou použity výsledky rozhovoru s IT ředitelem a dalšími relevantními osobami a poznatky ze studia zadávací dokumentace vybraného projektu.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is concerned about selected aspects of supplier relationship management in IT industry. The purpose of this thesis is to create a case study of an ICT project and related processes in chosen corporation with expenditures on ICT in amount of aprox. 30 milion CZK and point out drawbacks and errors that may have led to overrun the initial scope. The aim was to evaluate a current approach being followed and find out how significant project management is in terms of supplier relationship management. Possible counter-measures and guidelines have been proposed based on outcomes and findings to eliminate or at least mitigate the risks identified. The counter-measures have been designed to be in compliance with the latest best practice in project management and to be extensively applicable regardless of the project scope. Interviews with CIO and other relevant persons as well as analysis of tender documents of the project have been used as a method for evaluation.
