Práca obsahuje prípadovú štúdiu na použitie softvérových vzorov vo fáze analýzy, návrhu a výberu architektúry systému. Použitie jednotlivých vzorov je ukázané v kontexte ukážkového systému, ktorým je Informačný systém sanatória pre duševne chorých. Dôraz je kladený na architektonické vzory.
