A Project of Introducing Sustainable Practices in the Hotel to Increase Customer Loyalty to the Brand

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá tvorbou projektu pro zavedení udržitelných praktik v hotelu s cílem zvýšení loajality zákazníka ke značce. V teoretické části jsou zpracovány informace získané z odborné literatury, zaměřené na problematiku udržitelného cestovního ruchu, hotelnictví a uplatňování environmentálního řízení v hotelnictví. V analytické části je popsán aktuální stav vybraného hotelu. Zkoumaná problematika je dále analyzována pomocí SWOT analýzy a dotazníkového šetření, pro získání nezbytných informací, které byly podkladem pro tvorbu projektu. Zpracovanou analýzou bylo zjištěno, že vybraný hotel má potenciál pro zavedení udržitelných praktik a že existuje skupina zákazníků, kteří mají zájem o ubytování v hotelu, který viditelně snižuje svůj vliv na životní prostředí. Výsledkem práce je projekt pro zavedení konkrétních udržitelných opatření v hotelu.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the creation of a project for the introduction of sustainable practices in the hotel to increase customer loyalty to the brand. In the theoretical part information obtained from specialized literature on the topic of sustainable tourism, hospitality, and the application of environmental management in the hotel industry was processed. The current state of the selected hotel is described in the analytical part. The researched issue is further analyzed using SWOT analysis and a questionnaire survey, to obtain the necessary information that was the basis for the creation of the project. The processed analysis found that the selected hotel has the potential to implement sustainable practices and that there is a group of customers who are interested in hotel accommodation that visibly reduces its impact on the environment. The result of the work is a project, which includes a proposal for the introduction of specific measures.
