The master thesis deals with the analysis of literary broadside of twenty songs with themes of war and natural disasters of the 18th and in the first half of the 19th century. The introductory chapter discusses the general definition of broadside ballads, it focuses on the historical evolution, types and functions, distribution methods and periodization of this genre.
