Anaerobic stabilization of wastewater sludge

Abstract:

Technologie úpravy odpadní vody a následné hospodaření se vznikajícími kaly lze zefektivnit z hlediska energetické náročnosti. Nakládání s čistírenskými kaly představuje potenciální budoucnost pro průmyslové činnosti i pro domácnosti kvůli produkci bioplynu. V nastávajících letech se totiž bioplyn bude podílet na energetickém mixu čím dál více. Literární rešerše se věnuje charakteristickým parametrům městských kalů, jejich zpracování zahušťováním, odvodněním a stabilizací za účelem jejich následného využití. Důraz je však kladen na problematiku anaerobní stabilizace městských kalů s cílem zefektivnění produkce bioplynu. Smyslem metodického pokusu je zjištění, jaká kombinace podmínek anaerobní stabilizace kalů ve fermentoru, tedy prodloužení doby hydraulického zdržení v závislosti na různých teplotách, může zvýšit objem vyprodukovaného bioplynu. Z hlediska kvalitativního složení bioplynu jsou také sledovány parametry čistírenských kalů.

Abstract:

The technology of wastewater treatment and subsequent management of the sludge can be made more efficient in terms of energy consumption. Sewage sludge management represents a potential future for industrial activities and households due to biogas production. In fact, biogas will contribute more and more to the energy mix in the coming years. The literature review focuses on the characteristic parameters of urban sludge, its treatment by thickening, dewatering and stabilisation for subsequent use. However, the focus is on the issue of anaerobic stabilisation of urban sludge with the aim of more efficient biogas production. The purpose of the methodological experiment is to find out which combination of conditions for anaerobic sludge stabilization in the digester, i.e. increasing the hydraulic residence time depending on different temperatures, can increase the volume of biogas produced. The parameters of the sewage sludge are also monitored in terms of the biogas quality composition.
