Typology of Current Economic Crisis

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá ekonomickou krizi, která vypukla v roce 2007 a která počtem zasažených zemí a objemem vynaložené finanční pomoci přesahuje Velkou hospodářskou krizi nebo asijskou krizi. Úvod je věnovaný teorii finančních krizí a komparaci předkrizových období (build-up) a spouštěcích událostí (trigger points) krizí 20. a 21. století. Výstupem srovnání jsou společné prvky těchto krizí. Druhá část práce popisuje předkrizový vývoj a spouštěcí události hypoteční krize v USA. Následuje zařazení krize do typologie, kde jsou využité poznatky předešlé teoretické části. Poslední část je zaměřena na vývoj krize v EU s užším zaměřením na dopady krize v eurozóně.

Abstract:

This master thesis deals with the economic crises, which started in 2007 and has exceeded the Great Depression or Asian financial crisis, it refers to a number of impacted countries and large volumes of financial resources put in to rescue these countries. The first part is dedicated to the theories of financial crises and to the comparison of build-up and trigger points of the most important crises of the last two centuries. The second part describes build-up and triggers points of the US subprime housing crisis. Furthermore the author has placed a focus on the classification of the current situation of this crisis, using the theoretical information included in the first part. Finally, the practical part highlights the build-up of the crisis in the European Union and focuses on the impacts on the real economies of Eurozone and the effects from that.
