Anotácia:

Tématem diplomové práce je technická dokumentace Business Intelligence řešení. Cílem diplomové práce je pomocí metody Design Science Research vytvořit šablonu technické dokumentace Business Inteligence řešení, konkrétně určenou pro stálé dashboardy a reporty, která by umožnila standardizaci dokumentace a vyřešila problém zachování znalostí o Business Intelligence řešení a znalosti o jeho údržbě i po odchodu pracovníka, který toto řešení vyvinul. Úvod popisuje téma práce, cíl práce, použité metody, výstupy a přínosy práce, předpoklady a omezení práce a strukturu práce. Popis současné literatury se věnuje Data Governance a dokumentačním artefaktům. Kapitola Navržení šablony technické dokumentace Business Intelligence řešení se rozděluje na kapitoly Vymezení a Návrh. Kapitola Vymezení vysvětluje prerekvizity, nutné k implementaci šablony, rámec, nutný k sepsání toho, jak a proč vyplňovat šablonu a jednotlivé prvky šablony BI dokumentace. Kapitola Návrh poté popisuje postup vyplnění šablony BI dokumentace včetně ujištění se o prerekvizitách, také uvádí navržený rámec a navrženou šablonu. Kapitola Ověření ověřuje postup včetně navrženého rámce a navržené šablony v praxi. Kapitola Diskuze se věnuje shrnutí výsledků a ověření, teoretickým důsledkům zjištění, praktickým důsledkům zjištění, omezením a doporučením pro budoucí výzkum. Závěr pouze shrnuje výsledky a splnění cílů práce.

Abstract:

The topic of the master thesis is the technical documentation of Business Intelligence solutions. The aim of the thesis is to use the Design Science Research method to create a template for the technical documentation of Business Intelligence solutions, specifically designed for standard dashboards and reports, which would enable standardization of the documentation and solve the problem of maintaining knowledge about the Business Intelligence solution and knowledge about its maintenance after the departure of the employee who developed the solution. The Introduction describes the topic of the thesis, the aim of the thesis, the methods used, the outcomes and benefits of the thesis, the assumptions and limitations of the thesis, and the structure of the thesis. The Description of the current literature focuses on Data Governance and documentation artifacts. The chapter Designing a technical documentation template for Business Intelligence solutions is divided into the chapters Definition and Design. Chapter Definition explains the prerequisites required to implement the template, the framework required to write how and why to fill out the template, and an explanation of the various elements of a BI documentation template. Chapter Design describes the process of completing the BI documentation template, including making sure the prerequisites are met, and also provides the proposed framework and the proposed template. The Validation chapter verifies the procedure including the proposed framework and the proposed template in practice. Chapter Discussion summarises the results and validation, theoretical implications of the findings, practical implications of the findings, limitations and recommendations for future research. The Conclusion summarises the results and the achievement of the objectives of the thesis.
