Anotace:

Disertační práce vyplňuje mezeru v české literatuře v oblasti ženských řádů a kongregací. Úvodní část této práce tvoří historický popis jednotlivých ženských řádů, kongregací a sekulárních společenství ve 20. a 21. století na území České republiky. Obsáhlejší část pojednává právě o Kongregaci Milosrdných sester sv. Karla Boromejského, jejím vnitřním životě a fungování. Součástí práce je také obsáhlý poznámkový aparát a soupis archivních pramenů a literatury společně s rozsáhlou obrazovou a textovou přílohou k oběma částem disertace.

Abstract:

This doctoral thesis fills the gap in the Czech literature in the field of female orders and congregations. Opening part comprises the historical description of individual female orders, congregations and secular societies in 20th and 21st century in the territory of the Czech Republic. More extensive part focuses on Congregation of Sisters of Mercy of St. Borromeo, its inner life and activities. Both parts of the thesis include comprehensive notes and a list of archival sources and bibliography together with extensive pictorial and textual appendix.
