Abstract:

Práce se zabývá společnými znaky žánrů obsahu, který lidé vysílají na platformě Twitch. Částečně tím navazuje na studii Skye LaRella Andersona (2017), který zkoumal, jakými způsoby se snaží streameři zaujmout své publikum a také co tyto diváky zajímá. Magisterská práce si však klade za cíl analyzovat jednotlivé žánry, které se v současnosti na platformě Twitch vysílají, kategorizovat je a následně nalézt společné aspekty těchto žánrů. Kategorizace je odvozena od televizních žánrů, které popsal James Monaco (2000). Důvodem této kategorizace je snaha zjistit, zda Twitch vytváří nové žánry a nakolik se liší od žánrů televizních. Při aplikování aspektů, které Anderson vyjmenoval nám bude umožněno zjistit, ve kterých žánrech tyto aspekty mají důležitou roli a kde se s nimi naopak nesetkáme vůbec. Práce se přitom bude soustředit nejvíce na prvek interaktivity, který je ve službě Twitch přítomný vždy v jiné formě a míře.

Abstract:

This paper is examinating the common aspects of content genres which people are broadcoasting on the Twitch website. It is partly the continuation of the research by Skye LaRell Anderson (2017) who did explore how the streamers are trying to catch attention of their audience. This master thesis's goal is to analyse the categories which are currently available on Twitch and categorise them to genres according to their common aspects. This categorization is derived from television genres described by James Monaco (2000). The reason of this categorisation is an effort to find out if the Twitch is creating the new genres and how are these genres different from television genres. After we apply the Anderson's aspects of catching people's attention, we will be able to find out, in which genres these aspects are important and where they are not. This paper will be aimed mainly on aspect of interactivity as it is the aspect which is in all Twitch's videos but everytime in different forms.
