Czech Republic State Debt - Risks and Consequences

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce na téma "Státní dluh ČR - rizika a souvislosti" se zabývá analýzou vzniku, vývoje a struktury státního dluhu České republiky od 90. let 20. století do současnosti v kontextu politicko-historických souvislostí. V první části práce je provedeno teoretické vymezení tématu a s ním souvisejících pojmů. Dále je chronologicky popsán vývoj zadlužení České republiky od vzniku samostatného státu v roce 1993 až do současnosti. Jsou uvedeny souvislosti státního dluhu s ukazatelem HDP a s vývojem nezaměstnanosti. Práce popisuje příčiny a důsledky vzniku státního dluhu a rovněž rizika spojená s jeho dlouhodobým působením. Jsou popsány historické souvislosti vzniku dluhu, možnosti a způsoby jeho financování. Práce se zabývá též státním dluhem v zemích EU. V praktické části práce je zhodnocena stávající situace a předpokládaný vývoj, dále je provedena analýza vývoje zadluženosti ve vybraných zemích EU a srovnání státního dluhu ČR s Pobaltskými zeměmi.

Abstract:

Thesis on "Czech Republic State debt -- risks and consequences " analyses the origin, the development and the structure of the Czech Republic state debt since the 90s of the 20th century to the present in the context of the political and historical connections. The first part is a theoretical definition of the topic and related concepts. Further, the development of the Czech Republic debt is chronologically described since the establishment of the independent state in 1993 until the present. There are specified the consequences of the state debt with GDP indicator and with development of unemployment. The thesis describes the causes and consequences of the state debt origin, as well as risks associated with its long-term effects. There is described a historical context of the debt origin, possibilities and methods of its funding. This thesis also deals with state debt in the EU countries. The practical part evaluates the current situation and future trends, furthermore the evolution of debt in selected EU countries is analysed and the Czech Republic state debt is compared with the Baltic countries.
