Analysis of the competitive environment of the enterprise as a basis for designing business strategies

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou podniku v konkurenčním prostředí. Cílem bakalářské práce je charakterizovat konkurenci v teoretické rovině a následně aplikovat získané informace na konkrétní podnik. Zde bude proveden rozbor hospodaření podniku a konkurenčního prostředí. V rámci teoretické části je pojednáno o problematice dokonalé a nedokonalé konkurence, strategických analýz a hodnocení podmínek vnějšího a vnitřního prostředí, jenž na podnik působí. Podstatná je charakteristika konkurence na nedokonalou a dokonalou. Nedokonalá konkurence se na trhu vyskytuje v podobě monopolistické konkurence, oligopolu a monopolu. Pro zpracování praktické části je podstatné uvést problematiku strategického managementu. Konkrétně definice pojmů strategie, strategického řízení a strategických analýz, jenž slouží pro strategické plánování, stanovují a hodnotí faktory vnějšího a vnitřního prostředí, včetně pozice podniku vzhledem ke konkurenci na trhu. Součástí teoretické práce je popsání analýz zájmových skupin, analýz vnějšího a vnitřního prostředí a procesu formulování strategie. Praktická část se zabývá charakteristikou analyzované společnosti. Následně dojde k popisu konkurenčních firem v odvětví a provedení strategických analýz a vyhodnocení pozice analyzovaného podniku na trhu. Použité analýzy budou zejména analýza zájmových skupin, která hodnotí jedince a skupiny, které jsou v přímém vztahu se společností, analýza makroprostředí PESTLE, jenž se zabývá hodnocením politických, ekonomických, sociálních, technologických, legislativních a environmentálních faktorů a analýza mikroprostředí Porterův model pěti konkurenčních sil, který definuje sílu dodavatelů, odběratelů, stávající a potencionální konkurence a substitutů. V rámci analýzy vnitřního prostředí dojde k provedení analýzy zdrojů organizace z hlediska majetků a finančních zdrojů podniku a lidských zdrojů. V neposlední řadě bude provedena Portfolio analýza BCG matice, jenž hodnotí finanční produkty a zařazuje je do příslušných kvadrantů matice. Vnitřní a vnější prostředí je následně hodnoceno prostřednictvím SWOT analýzy silných, slabých stránek a příležitostí a hrozeb. V závěru diplomové práce bude zpracován návrh strategických cílů, vedoucí ke zlepšení situace podniku v konkurenčním prostředí.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of business in a competitive environment. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to characterize the competition on a theoretical level and then apply the information obtained to a specific company. An analysis of the company's finances and competitive environment will be performed here. The theoretical part deals with the issue of perfect and imperfect competition, strategic analysis and evaluation of the conditions of the external and internal environment that affects the company. The characteristic of imperfect and perfect competition is essential. Imperfect competition exists in the market in the form of monopolistic competition, oligopoly and monopoly. For the elaboration of the practical part, it is essential to mention the issue of strategic management. Specifically, the definitions of strategy, strategic management and strategic analysis, which are used for strategic planning, determine and evaluate the factors of the external and internal environment, including the position of the company in relation to competition in the market. Part of the theoretical work is a description of analyzes of interest groups, analyzes of the external and internal environment and the process of formulating a strategy. The practical part deals with the characteristics of the analyzed company. Subsequently, there will be a description of competing companies in the industry and the implementation of strategic analyzes and evaluation of the position of the analyzed company in the market. The analyzes used will be mainly the analysis of interest groups, which evaluates individuals and groups that are directly related to society, the analysis of the macro environment PESTLE, which deals with the evaluation of political, economic, social, technological, legislative and environmental factors and the analysis of the microenvironment Porter's model of five competitive forces , which defines the strength of suppliers, customers, existing and potential competitors and substitutes. As part of the analysis of the internal environment, an analysis of the organization's resources will be performed in terms of the company's assets and financial resources and human resources. Last but not least, the Portfolio analysis of the BCG matrix will be performed, which evaluates financial products and classifies them into the relevant quadrants of the matrix. The internal and external environment is then assessed through a SWOT analysis of strengths, weaknesses and opportunities and threats. At the end of the diploma thesis, a proposal of strategic goals will be prepared, leading to the improvement of the company's situation in a competitive environment.
