Conservative therapy of disc herniation in the view of physiotherapy

Abstract:

V mé bakalářské práci se zabývám problematikou výhřezu meziobratlového disku v oblasti bederní páteře. V rámci terapie jsem se zaměřila zejména na metodu McKenzie. V první části se věnuji popisu anatomie a kineziologie páteře, dále charakteristice výhřezu meziobratlového disku. Ve speciální části jsem se zaměřila na možnosti konzervativní terapie u výhřezu meziobratlového disku. V této části jsem uvedla několik vybraných metod a přístupů, které lze využít a některé z nich jsem také použila v rámci hlavní části bakalářské práce. V popisu možností konzervativní terapie jsem se zejména zaměřila právě na metodu Robina McKenzie, kterou jsem využila v rámci hlavní části práce, dále jsem tuto metodu kombinovala s posilováním hlubokého stabilizačního systému jednotlivým cvičením a cvičením v závěsném systému Neurac. V hlavní části práce je popsáno vyšetření, postup rehabilitace a návrh na dlouhodobý plán rehabilitace pacientky s kořenovým syndromem L5. Závěr práce je věnován diskusi, ve které srovnávám efektivitu jednotlivých konzervativních metod a přístupů v léčbě výhřezu meziobratlového disku.

Abstract:

In my baccalaureate work, I deal with disc herniation in lumbar part of the spine. Within the therapy, I focused on the McKenzie method. The first part describes the anatomy and kinesiology of the spine, as well as characteristics of disc herniation. In a special part, I focused on options of conservative therapy of disc herniation. In this part, I state several methods and approaches which can be applied and some of them I used in my special part of the baccalaureate work. In the description of the options of conservative therapy, I particularly focused on the Robin McKenzie method, which I used in the special part of this work and I combined this method with the strengthening of deep stabilization of the spine system with individual exercises and exercises on the Neurac system. In the main part of the work, there is a described examination, a process of rehabilitation and a proposed plan of the long-term rehabilitation to a patient with radiculopathy L5. The end of this work is dedicated to a discussion, where I compare the effects of individual conservative methods and approaches of disc herniation.
