Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá témou konfesných vzťahov na Slovensku v období stavovských povstaní v rokoch 1604 až 1711. Jej základným cieľom je analyzovať náboženské postoje a konflikty v historickom kontexte od začiatku reformácie na Slovensku. Zaoberá sa pokusmi protestantov, v prípade Horných Uhier luteránov, na vytvorenie vlastnej cirkvi. Súčasťou práce je snaha o vysvetlenie procesu konfesionalizácie a faktorov, ktoré k nej prispeli, najmä rekatolizácie, ktorá veľkou mierou prispela k náboženským konfliktom v 17. storočí. Protireformácia a snaha o habsburgský absolutizmus prispievala k nespokojnosti stavov, ktoré začali konať ozbrojené revolty proti viedenskému dvoru. Povstania boli vedené šľachtou, ktorá bojovala najmä za zachovanie svojich stavovských práv a potvrdenie slobody vierovyznania. Osmanská ríša nepriamo, ale aj priamo podporovala tieto revolty s cieľom o vnútorné oslabenie Habsburgskej monarchie. Protihabsburgské stavovské povstania mali iba čiastkové a dočasné úspechy v rámci náboženskej situácie, pretože na ich konci rekatolizačné opatrenia úspešné až natoľko, že sa takmer úplne zmenilo konfesné zloženie obyvateľstva na Slovensku.

Abstract:

This thesis is devoted to the confessional relations in Slovakia during the period of Uprisings of Estates in years 1604 - 1711. The fundamental purpose is to analyze religion attitudes and conflicts in a historical context from the beginning of the reformation in Slovakia. The thesis deals with the efforts of Protestants, in the case of the Upper Hungary the efforts of the Lutherans, to found their own church. An effort to explain the process of denominationalisation and factors which affected it, especially the recatholization, which contributed greatly to the religious conflicts in the 17th century is as well part of this thesis. Counter-Reformation and efforts to achieve Habsburg absolutism contributed to dissatisfaction of Estates, which started to take armed revolts against the Viennese court. Revolts were led by the nobility, which fought mainly for the preservation of their rights and confirmation of freedom of religion. The Ottoman Empire directly as well as indirectly supported these revolts in order to internally weaken the Habsburg monarchy. Anti-Habsburg Uprisings of Estates gained only partial and temporary success within religious situation, because in the end, the recatholization measures were successful in such a large scale that the religious composition of inhabitants in Slovakia did almost completely change.
