The scope of color

Abstract:

Tato práce s názvem „Prostor barvy“ je doprovodným textem k praktické části bakalářské práce, kterou je cyklus velkoformátových pláten. Obsahem je odpovídajícím způsobem vyjádřena podstata a zákonitosti praktické části, jejímž námětem je barva. Jak si s námi pohrává a kam až nás může zavést intuice. V průběhu své práce jsem čerpala inspiraci z prací Milana Magniho a následně Hanse Hofmanna a Kazimíra Maleviče. Teoretické poučení jsem hledala v literatuře, vztahující se k abstraktnímu umění, kde jsem se zaměřila na abstraktní expresionismus a styl s názvem Colour Field Painting, v překladu malířství barevných polí.

Abstract:

This thesis named „Space of colour“ is a complementary text to the practical part of the bachelor’s thesis which consists of a series of large format canvases. The content expresses the essence and regularities of the practical part in an appropriate way. The practical part is focused on colour, how it plays with us and where our intuition can lead us. I got inspiration for my thesis from the work of Milan Magni, Hans Hofmann and Kazimir Malevič. I sought the theoretical knowledge in literature dealing with abstract art where I focused on Abstract Expressionism and Colour Field Painting style.
