Stability of the Structures Obtained on the Basis of the Semantic Selection Test

Anotácia:

V předkládané diplomové práci pojednáváme o Testu sémantického výběru, který je jednou z metod psychodiagnostiky a psychologického výzkumu. V teoretické části práce, v kapitole 2, se zabýváme stručně popisem testového materiálu a postupu administrace testu a podrobně postupem vyhodnocování výsledků administrace, který je pro správnou interpretaci Testu sémantického výběru velmi důležitý. Porovnáváme zde dosavadní a nový postup vyhodnocování. Tímto novým postupem je metoda statistického zpracovávání dat optimální škálování, přesněji korespondenční analýza, jako nejjednodušší podoba optimálního škálování. V empirické části práce jsme provedli replikaci studie 2 z publikace Psychosémantika (Urbánek, 2003). V kapitole 3 popisujeme úpravu záznamového archu a postup administrace testu. V kapitole 4 popisujeme výsledky zpracování sebraných dat, ukazujeme tedy grafy optimálního škálování a uvádíme kvalitativní výklady sémantického prostoru testovaných osob. Dále rozebíráme časovou stabilitu výsledků pro jednotlivé testované osoby. V kapitole 5 shrnujeme zkušenosti s novým postupem vyhodnocování Testu sémantického výběru a navrhujeme další možný postup výzkumu tohoto testu.

Abstract:

In this thesis we deal with the Semantic selection test, which is one of the methods of the psychodiagnostics and psychological research. In the theoretical part of the thesis, in the chapter 2, there are brief descriptions of the test material as well as the procedure of the test administration. The evaluation procedure of the administration results, which is necessary for the correct interpretation of the Semantic selection test, is described in detail. In this part we compare standing evaluation techniques with the new procedure. This procedure is represented by the statistical method of the optimal scaling, more precisely the correspondence analysis, as a simplest variant of the optimal scaling. In the empiric part of the thesis we replicated the study 2 from the publication Psychosemantics (Urbánek, 2003; in Czech). In the chapter 3 we describe a modification of the list of the records and the procedure of the test administration. In the chapter 4 we compile the results of the processing of the collected data, we show the plots of the optimal scaling and we present qualitative interpretations of the semantic space of the tested individuals. In the chapter 5 we summarise our experience with the new evaluation procedure of the Semantic selection test and we suggest a next possible advancement in the research of this test.
