System of employee benefits with focus on a specific company

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je věnována systému zaměstnaneckých benefitů v České republice. Cílem této práce je vymezit pojem benefit, jeho význam, cíle a členění, vysvětlit, jaká legislativa se při poskytování benefitů uplatňuje, a také popsat způsoby účtování o nich. Nechybí zde popis vybraných zaměstnaneckých benefitů včetně jejich daňových dopadů na zaměstnance i zaměstnavatele. Součástí práce je popis systému zaměstnaneckých výhod v Dopravním podniku hl. m. Prahy, akciová společnost, který je stěžejním článkem dopravní infrastruktury v hlavním městě. Jedná se o společnost, která zaměstnává více než 11 000 zaměstnanců a má široké portfolio nabízených benefitů. Pro účely této práce bylo provedeno dotazníkové šetření u vzorku zaměstnanců tohoto podniku, které bude v závěru práce vyhodnoceno.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the system of employee benefits in the Czech Republic. The objective of the thesis is to define the term of benefit, its importance, aims and classification and to explain which legislation is applied to provide benefits. Next, the accounting methods concerning benefits are described here. Finally, some specific employee benefits including their tax impacts both on employers and employees are described here. The practical part of the thesis focuses on presentation of the employee benefits system in Prague Public Transit Company, joint-stock company, which is the key company in the transport infrastructure in the capital. This company employs more than 11000 people and has a wide portfolio of employee benefits. A questionnaire survey was conducted here on a sample of employees and the results are analysed in the conclusion of the thesis.
