Embezzlement and Transparency in Laboratory Experiment

Abstract:

In this following master thesis, I will present you results on corruption and more precisely embezzlement by using laboratory experiment. The main objective of this thesis is to discover if transparency can lead to a reduction of the amount of embezzlement in international politics (across political candidates). Embezzlement is one of the most important economic crime and it is present everywhere across the world, sometimes it is obvious, sometimes it is hidden. Corruption was studied by a lot of researchers compare to embezzlement. To find interesting funding we have done a laboratory experiment at Masaryk University in collaboration with University of Rennes 1. The first part of this thesis will focus on the definition of corruption and more precisely embezzlement and what can be done to reduce this importance. The second part is focus on my laboratory experiment and the analyse/discuss of the results.
