Parents´ Opinions on Alternative Attitudes to Rewards and Punishments in Child Upbringing

Abstract:

Odměny a tresty jsou v naší společnosti tradičním výchovným prostředkem, pro mnohé rodiče dosud nezbytným. Demokracie a vliv humanismu ve společnosti se odrážejí i v potřebě rodičů nacházet nové účinné výchovné metody. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá názory rodičů na alternativní výchovné přístupy k odměnám a trestům ve výchově dětí. Zjišťuje také jaké výhody a nevýhody v nich rodiče spatřují, kde o nich získávají informace a jaké jsou bariéry pro uplatňování alternativních výchovných přístupů v praxi.

Abstract:

The reward and punishment are a traditional means of education in our society, for many parents an essential one so far. Democracy and the influence of humanism in the society are reflected in the need of parents to search for new and effective educational methods. This Bachelor thesis deals with the opinions of parents on the alternative educational approaches to the reward and punishment in the children upbringing. It also investigates what advantages and disadvantages the parents see, where they gain information and what the barriers for making the alternative educational approaches work in the practice are.
