Tato diplomová práce se zabývá vlastními jmény v dílech sci-fi a fantasy, konkrétně pak jejich významy pro daná universa a jejich překladem. Za cíl si klade analyzovat takzvaná "mluvící" jména a jména obecně, způsob jakým zapadají do rámce díla a možné varianty překladu. Abstract:
This diploma thesis deals with the topic of proper names in the works of sci-fi and fantasy, specifically with their meanings within the given universe and their translation. It aims at analyzing the so called "speaking" names and names in general, the way they fit into the frame of the works, and possible variants of translation.
