Activities of volunteer firefighters within the IZS of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce si klade za cíl provést analýzu aktivity jednotek sboru dobrovolných hasičů v rámci Integrovaného záchranného systému (IZS) České republiky. Jejím záměrem je poskytnout komplexní a hloubkový pohled na roli a efektivitu dobrovolných hasičských jednotek při řešení mimořádných událostí a krizových situací. Součástí práce je důkladné zkoumání historie a vývoje dobrovolného hasičství v České republice, legislativního a organizačního rámce sboru dobrovolných hasičů a jejich integrace do celkového záchranného systému. Cílem je poskytnout ucelený pohled na fungování dobrovolných hasičských jednotek a jejich roli v zajišťování bezpečnosti a ochrany občanů v České republice. Analyzuje se také provozní a organizační struktura jednotek sboru dobrovolných hasičů, jejich technické vybavení a personální složení. Dalším důležitým aspektem práce je zhodnocení spolupráce mezi dobrovolnými hasiči a ostatními složkami IZS, jako jsou profesionální hasiči, zdravotnická záchranná služba a policie. Na základě provedené analýzy jsou navržena doporučení pro další rozvoj a posílení role dobrovolných hasičů v IZS České republiky. Tato práce přispívá k lepšímu porozumění fungování a významu dobrovolného hasičství v rámci celkového systému ochrany obyvatelstva a majetku v České republice.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the activity of the volunteer fire brigade units within the Integrated Rescue System (IRS) of the Czech Republic. It aims to provide a comprehensive and in-depth view of the role and effectiveness of volunteer firefighting units in dealing with emergencies and crisis situations. The work includes a thorough examination of the history and development of volunteer firefighting in the Czech Republic, the legislative and organisational framework of the volunteer fire brigade and their integration into the overall rescue system. The aim is to provide a comprehensive view of the functioning of volunteer firefighting units and their role in ensuring the safety and security of citizens in the Czech Republic. It also analyses the operational and organisational structure of the volunteer fire brigade units, their technical equipment and personnel composition. Another important aspect of the thesis is the evaluation of the cooperation between volunteer firefighters and other components of the IRS, such as professional firefighters, medical rescue services and police. Based on the analysis, recommendations for further development and strengthening of the role of volunteer firefighters in the Czech Republic's IRS are proposed. This work contributes to a better understanding of the functioning and importance of the volunteer fire service within the overall system of protection of population and property in the Czech Republic.
