Singing-musical group "Vítězslav Novák" Chapters to history of an important institution of Rakovník town

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje spolkové tematice, konkrétně historii jednoho z nejstarších spolků v Rakovníku – Pěvecko-hudebního spolku Vítězslav Novák. Popisuje celé období existence spolku od počátků v polovině devatenáctého století přes obě světové války až do poloviny století dvacátého. Práce je historickým pohledem na samotnou vnitřní organizační činnost spolku, její postupné změny a vývoj. Jsou zde zdůrazněny důležité momenty ve spolkovém životě, je upozorněno na důležité osobnosti, které spolkem prošly a podílely se na jeho práci. Informace o běžné správní činnosti jsou samozřejmě doplňovány průběžným přehledem o kulturních událostech, které spolek pořádal nebo se jich aktivně účastnil. Vzhledem ke dlouholeté a rozmanité hudební činnosti spolku je upozorněno pouze na díla a akce, která mají v celkovém kontextu významnější charakter nejen pro spolek, ale i pro samotné město.

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on history of one of the oldest association in Rakovník which was a singing and music group “Vítězslav Novák”. The thesis describes the whole time of its existence from the very beginning in the middle of 19th century, during both world wars till the end of the association after the middle of 20th century. The work is a historical view of an inner organizing activity of the group, its serial changes and development. Crucial moments in life of the association are emphasized and important personalities who participated in progress of the group are highlighted. Common administrative activities are accompanied by cultural and social events, which were either held by the association or the association took actively part in them. Considering the very long-time and varied musical activity of the group, only events and social occasions, which are more important not only for the association itself but also for the town Rakovník, are mentioned and pointed out.
