Tato bakalářská práce byla vytvořena formou literární rešerše, která shrnuje základní informace o titanu a jeho použití pro medicínské aplikace. V úvodních kapitolách jsou uvedeny vlastnosti čistého titanu a titanových slitin. Příkladem je zařazení titanu v periodické tabulce prvků nebo fyzikální, chemické a mechanické vlastnosti titanu.
