Abstract:

Má práce Ojhung – rituál performancí (Studie události rituálu Ojhung ve vesnici Bugeman a vesnicích regionu Situbondo východní Indonésie) usiluje o popsání unikátního fenoménu rituálu Ojhung a jeho mnohovrstevné struktury. Práce se snaží nastínit určité vztahy a souvislosti ovlivňující tradici Ojhung, několik způsobů vnímání události ovlivňující její podobu, a tím i její působení na účastníka. Zabývá se nejprve prvky společnosti a historie Indonésie, které jsou ve vztahu s tradicí popisovaného rituálu. Dále se posouvá k místu nejčastějšího výskytu rituálu typu Ojhung, do regionu Východní Jávy Situbondo a pak do vesnice Bugeman, kde popisuje, jaké faktory by mohly ovlivňovat studovanou tradici. Přes popis vlastního prožitku rituálu se poté dostává k obecnému popisu rituálu Ojhung, zápasu i rituálního obřadu, i jeho charakteristiky, aby se finálně mohla zaměřit na prvky divadelní performance obsažené ve struktuře rituálu. Mé práci je východiskem rituál Ojhung prováděný ve vesnici Bugeman na východní Jávě. Tuto verzi doplňuje o další provedení stejného rituálu v místě dalších vesnic východní Jávy. Opírá se především o teoretické práce a výzkumy R. Geertze, A. Gennepa, V. Turnera, R. Schechnera, J. Huizinga, o vlastní zkušenosti získané během pobytu v Indonésii a o dokumentaci ze zdrojů reportáží novinových deníků Indonésie a indonéských televizí.

Abstract:

The main focus of my thesis Ojhung – The Ritual of Performance (The Study of the Ojhung Ritual in the Village of Bugeman and the Villages of the Situbondo Region in South Indonesia) is a description of a unique ritual phenomenon called Ojhung and its multilayered structure. My work is suggesting possible interpretations of various relationships and correlations influencing the Ojhung tradition, it shows some of the possible ways of approaching the shaping process and its consequent effect on the participants. In the first part of my thesis, I focus on the social aspects and the history of Indonesia, which are directly connected to the tradition of the ritual in question. Then I move on with the description to the place where the Ojhung ritual takes place most often – to the Situbondo region of south Java and finally to the village of Bugeman where I study the local ritual shaping factors. After the description of my personal experience, I move on to the general Ojhung ritual description and its characteristics to close with the performance art segment of the ritual structure. The central topic of my work is the Ojhung ritual performed in the village of Bugeman in south Java. I further elaborate on the topic by including different versions of the ritual as they appear in various villages of south Java. I base my thesis mainly on the theoretical work and research done by R. Geertz, A. Gennep, V. Turner, R. Schechner, J. Huizinga, my own experience, and media coverage, especially Indonesian newspapers and TV broadcasting.
