Předmětem diplomové práce je role dějin ve spisech sociologa E. Chalupného. Jeho díla srovnávaná s filosofickými texty T. G. Masaryka tvoří pramennou základnu práce. V textu jsou analyzovány Chalupného obecné názory na dějiny, a to jak na vědecké, tak i na společenské a politické úrovni. The thesis is dealing with the role of history in writings by sociologist E. Chalupny. His works, compared with the philosophical texts by T. G. Masaryk, create the main source of this diploma thesis. Chalupny’s general views on history are analyzed there, namely on scientific, and social and political levels as well.
