Castle of Jindřichův Hradec - public access to the monument, faces of the castle installation during the 20th century

Abstract:

Tématem práce je „SHZ Jindřichův Hradec- Zpřístupnění památkového objektu veřejnosti. Podoby zámecké instalace v průběhu 20. st.“ Cílem je zasadit dílčí otázku jindřichohradecké zámecké instalace do širšího kontextu kulturní politiky státu a estetického cítění doby vzniku instalací. Základní premisou práce je determinace prezentace památkového objektu soudobou kulturně-historickou situací. Památkové instalace často vypovídají o době svého vzniku více než o dějinách objektu. Autor analyzoval a komparoval pět různých instalací z 20., 50., 60., 80. a 90. let. Deskripce vybavení celé prezentace je porovnána se stavem a funkcí zámeckých interiérů v 19. století. Vývoj interiérové instalace je rekonstruován na základě průvodcovských textů konfrontovaných s dochovanou fotodokumentací. Důležitým zdrojem informací byly i konzultace se správou zámku, s pracovníky Národního památkového ústavu v Českých Budějovicích, s autory současné instalace.

Abstract:

The thesis is called "Castle of Jindřichův Hradec - public access to the monument, faces of the castle installation during the 20th century“. The aim is to put the particular issue of the castle installation to broader context of the state cultural policy and aesthetic feelings of its creation period. The fundamental premise is based on determination of monumental building presentation in the lenses of current cultural and historic situation. Monumental instalations often give evidence more about the period of their creation rather than history of the monument. The author has analysed and compared 5 different installations from the 20´s, 50´s, 60´s, 80´s and 90´s. Facility description of the whole presentation is compared to the state and function of castle interiors in 19th century. Development of interior installation is reconstructed on the basis of contemporary libretto and guide texts confronted by extant photo documentation. Consultations with the castle administration have been an important source of information as well as interviews with people working in the National Heritage Institute in Ceske Budejovice and authors of the current installation.
