Use of the EEG biofeedback method to train the brain of a woman with a mental disability

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na využití metody EEG biofeedback k tréninku mozku ženy s mentálním postižením. Práce se skládá ze tří kapitol. Teoretická část skládající se ze dvou kapitol, nám vytvořila základ pro vlastní výzkumné šetření. První kapitola se zabývá metodou EEG biofeedback, její charakteristikou, historií, průběhem terapie a celkovou efektivitou této metody na trénink mozku. Druhá kapitola nám charakterizuje mentální postižení, klasifikaci a etiologii. Též nám popisuje možné komplikace v průběhu mladé dospělosti lidí s mentálním postižením. Empirická část je popsána ve třetí kapitole. Kapitola obsahuje popis cílů, metodologie, časového harmonogramu výzkumného šetření. Obsahuje také popis zařízení, na kterém byly tréninky prováděny. V kapitole je popsaná analýza a interpretace výzkumného šetření, případová studie ženy s mentálním postižením a její průběh tréninku metodou EEG biofeedback. Konec kapitoly se věnuje výsledkům, závěrům a doporučení do speciálně-pedagogické praxe.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis is focused on the use of the EEG biofeedback method to train the brain of a woman with mental disability. The work consist of tree chapters. The theoretical part, consisting of two chapters, created the basis for our own research. The first chapter deals with the EEG biofeedback method, its characteristics, history, course of therapy and the overall effectiveness of this method for brain training. The second chapter describes mental disabilities, classification and etiology. It also describes possible complications during the young adulthood of people with mental disabilities. The empirical part is described in the third chapter. The chapter contains a description of the objectives, methodology, and time schedule of the research investigation. It also contains a description of the equipment on which the training was carried out. The chapter describes the analysis and interpretation of the research investigation, the case study of a woman with mental disabilities and her course of training using the EEG biofeedback method. The end of the chapter is devoted to results, conclusions and recommendations for special pedagogical practice.
