Burnout syndrome in carers of geriatric patients

Abstract:

Práce je věnována problematice syndromu vyhoření v pomáhajících profesí, konkrétně pracovníků, kteří pečují o geriatrické pacienty. V teoretické části podávám přehled o profesi pomáhání a úskalích geriatrické péče a vymezuji pojmy stres a syndrom vyhoření. Empirická část je zaměřena na výzkumný problém a předkládá získaná data formou dotazníkového šetření. K vyhodnocení statistické významnosti je použit T-test, Wilcoxonův test a Pearson?v test. V závěru stanovuji návrhy preventivních opatření.

Abstract:

This work deals with the problematic nature of burnout syndrome in helping professions, specifically for workers, caring of geriatric patients. In the theoretical part, I am giving a summary of the profession of helping and problems of geriatric care and I define the terms stress and burnout syndrome. The empirical part is aimed at the research problem and it presents data acquired in the form of a questionnaire. For evaluation of statistical significance is used T ? test, Wilcoxon Test and Pearson Test. In the conclusion, I determine suggestions of precautions.
