The net knee power in runners with history of Achilles tendon rupture

Abstract:

Má práce se zabývá srovnáním produkce mechanického výkonu kolenního kloubu mezi experimentální (běžci s historií ruptury Achillovy šlachy) a kontrolní skupinou při běhu o rychlosti 3,2 m.s-1.V první části, tedy části teoretické, jsem se zabývala vysvětlením běhu jako základní pohybovou aktivitou člověka, zraněním při běhu, vztahem mechanického výkonu a běhu a kinetickou analýzou jak kolenního tak hlezenního kloubu. Druhou část mé diplomové práce tvoří část praktická, kde jsem pracovala s naměřenými daty od 22 probandů, kde 11 z nich bylo po ruptuře Achillovy šlachy a 11 tvořilo kontrolní skupinu. Kinetická data byla zpracována v softwaru Qualisys Track Manager a Vistual3D. Statistické zpracování proběhlo v programu SPSS-Statistic 20. K posouzení věcné významnosti jsme využili Cohenův index velikosti vlivu. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, zda při běhu u lidí s historií ruptury Achillovy šlachy dochází k ovlivnění kinetiky pohybu kolenního kloubu. Z výsledku jsem došla k závěru, že podle výsledků velikosti vlivu ve většině případů dochází pouze k malým nebo středním vlivům v kolenním kloubu, výjimka nastala při absorpci kolene při běhu na boso u postižené nohy.

Abstract:

My work deals with the comparison of output mechanical power of the knee joint between the experimental (runners with a history of rupture of the Achilles tendon) and the control group while running a speed of 3.2 ms 1. In the first part, the theoretical part, I dealt with the explanation of the running as a basic movement of human activity, injuries while running, the relationship between mechanical power and running and kinetic analysis of both knee and ankle joint. The second part of my thesis consists of a practical part, where I worked with measured data from 22 probands, where 11 of them were after rupture of the Achilles tendon and 11 were the control group. Kinetic data were processed by software Qualisys Track Manager and Vistual3D. Statistical processing was carried out in SPSS-Statistic 20. To factual assessments of relevancy, we used Cohen's index of the impact. The aim of the study was to determine if the kinetic motion of the knee joint is affected by the rupture of the Achilles tendon. From the result, I concluded that in most cases the influence to the knee joint is just minor. An exception occurred just while running barefoot.
