Consumption of sweetened beverages by adolescents and its relationship to overweight and obesity

Abstract:

Teoretická část definuje chemická, biologická a fyzikální rizika plynoucí z konzumace slazených nápojů. Dále popisuje vliv slazených nápojů na zdraví člověka - metabolická onemocnění (nadváha, obezita, KVS onemocnění, diabetes mellitus 2. typu a metabolický syndrom), osteoporóza, zubní kaz a eroze zubní skloviny. Charakterizuje přidané cukry a současné postoje společnosti. Praktická část zkoumá preference a spotřebu slazených nápojů, stravovací zvyklosti a pohybovou aktivitu u studentů středních škol.

Abstract:

The theoretical part defines chemical, biological and physical risks resulting from consumption of sweetened beverages. It also describes the influence of sweetened beverages on human health - metabolic diseases (overweight, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus II, metabolic syndrome), osteoporosis, caries and enamel erosion. It characterizes added sugars and the actual attitude of community. The practical part investigates preferences and consumption of sweetened beverages, eating habits and physical activity of secondary school students.
