Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá strategii společnosti Knauf Insulation, spol s. r. o v souvislosti se zvyšováním cen emisních povolenek z plánovaného přechodu hospodářství na nízkouhlíkovou energetiku. Cílem této práce je zjistit, jaké jsou dopady regulace na strategii společnosti Knauf Insulation, spol. s. r. o. K tomuto cíli bude použita kvantitativní a kvalitativní metoda. Kvantitativní metoda je zaměřena na sběr sekundárních dat získaných z veřejně dostupných zdrojů. Kvalitativní metoda bude postavena na technice polostrukturovaného rozhovoru s klíčovým manažerem společnosti. Potencionální využití práce je upřesnění budoucího vývoje společnosti a jaké jsou možnosti úspěšně regulaci zvládnout. Práce může sloužit jako podklad pro další zkoumání a prohloubení poznání v oblasti dopadů strategií společností podléhajícím režimu obchodování s emisními povolenkami.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the strategy of the company Knauf Insulation, Ltd., which addresses the increase in the prices of emission allowances in connection with the planned transition of the economy to low-carbon energy. The aim of this work is to evaluate the impacts of rising prices of emission allowances on the strategy of Knauf Insulation, Ltd. A quantitative and qualitative method will be used for this purpose. The quantitative method is focused on the collection of secondary data obtained from publicly available sources. The qualitative method is based on the technique of semi-structured interviews with key managers of the company. In conclusion, a technique called triangulation will increase the validity of the research, and thanks to this technique, the data are evaluated together by content analysis. A potential use of the thesis is specifying the future development of the company and how it can reduce its operating costs. The thesis may serve as a basis for further exploration and further knowledge deepening in the field of companies' costs that subject to a system of trading emission allowances.
